A Dream of a Memory

I was immensely inspired by the Backrooms games. The feelings of dread, isolation, and an eerie sense of nostalgia greatly resonated with me and how I viewed my mental state over the past few years. The main message of the game is that we all have struggles from the past that weigh on our minds, and if left unchecked, they can create a prison of shame and regret. Nowadays, many people face mental health issues, so it’s important to understand how serious it is, as well as to let people know that they’re not alone by sharing some of my past hardships with them (the notes in the game are based on real events in my life).
